After the novel study for the fantasy text The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, the students completed "trading cards" on each character in the book. Using the Trading Cards app on their iPads, the students had to describe each character, the setting where they were located, identify their problem and solution and make connections to other people and texts the character reminded them of. Students demonstrated their understanding of the text as well as the reading strategies focused on throughout Reader's Workshop. They were engaged in this novel study and had a lot of information to fill up their trading cards for this final project!Trading cards rubric
